Well yesterday was the Office “Xmas do” so I got to finish work at two and go eat and drink loads, with the members of the company and a load of random people I have never seen before, I swear the network meals are now pulling in anyone who happens to be walking past the door at the time. :0)
Then when feeling stuffed and happy, it was time to grab a lift to chester, quick change into a smarter outfit, and off to another “festive do” for a big meal, lots more drinks and more fun. And without the aid of any cheating every person on the table I was on won at least one prize on the raffle (One Person winning two) “What are the odds on that”
Then to finish off the evening, Some drunken killing of cops in a Grand Theft Auto shoot out…
2 1/2 Working Days Left!

Well it’s getting close to the end of the year “24 days left” so I figured it was time to take a moment to contemplate the last year, see where I stand, and whats going on, whats changed, what hasn’t, and any other random stuff that’s in my mind.
Work
I am still working at the insane asylum that calls itself Net-Work Internet, Still under paid for the job I do (NOTE: not the work I do) And apart from the odd staff change, nothing much has changed here. But with plans for outsourcing the basic programing work to India, then the possibilities for change, excitment, and adventure “or unemployment”
Training
No change, apart from the addition of a new syllabus to the collection of stuff already being taught.
Life
No change, its all the same-ole same-ole. But there are secret plans afoot to change all that next year, so watch this space!
Love
Well I’m still single, And still waiting for number 3 to show up, If you are unsure what the hell I am on about with that last comment read This.
Projects for friends
Arrgghhh!!
I have been way to lazy in recent months, and I am now well behind on the projects I have in a stack for friends and family. Not counting my own stuff. Hopefully this laziness/apathy will disappear in the new year, and I can catch up on stuff.

So far I do not even have any ideas on what to get people, let alone start to try and find time to shop! And some annoying people I know have finished their shopping/wrapping/everything. I blame the laziness of myself.

Mondays are great, not only do you have to go back to work after a weekend off, but there a law that states, “If something can go wrong, then the chances of it going wrong double on a monday morning”
At some point over the weekend something tripped the electric to the offices (possibly my monitor breaking since this morning it was as dead as a dead thing!), so we had the fun of rebooting machines, several of which developed annoying noises until kicked repeatedly.
Now we just have the cold to deal with. The offices are freezing, in a coat wearing, door closing, radiator hugging level of coldness.
Why can’t we just hibernate over the winter?
Or at least let the snow hurry up and get here, deep snow that closes the mountain passes, and lets us work from home!

They installed a new “SONICWALL” firewall/vpn/gizmo in the office yesterday!
So this morning I come into work sligtly early due to less traffic than normal on the road, Check my emails, and decided to check a couple of websites. Only to be hit with a :-
This site is blocked by the SonicWALL Content Filter Service.
Reason for restriction: Forbidden Category “Cult/Occult”
Which suprised me as the sites I was looking at were not really Occult, or dodgy… So after several minutes Investigation it seems the SONICWALL blocks any site they think is unsafe or belonging to any organisation that some group thinks is a cult. It also covers any site that mentions magic, spells, gods, atheists, or anything that is not the mainstream religions..
What happened to tolerance of other peoples views? 1st we have the americans stating the bibles view of creation must be taught in schools, now we have a big company selling a product that prevents people viewing sites that have views different to what They believe.
If you do an Internet search on you find lots of people mentioning innocent sites that have been blocked by sonicwall.
So remember people Big Brother/NWO/whatever you want to call Them are watching, and controlling what you can or can’t see!!

Oh Gods.. Its another Monday morning and I really cant be arsed being in work…
I’m not too sure whats wrong with me, whether its.
- Normal Monday Morning Blues! that just happen to last all week atm.
- The atmosphere in the office these days.
- Old age
- Or just general “cant be arsed”‘ness
I think I’m going to go with point 4. General “cant be arsed”‘ness seeing as I have lost all interest in everything, my get up and go has got up and gone. my enthusiasm for stuff is non-existent, I’m just going through the motions.
