Petition Time

The proposed ban on the import, sale and manufacture of swords will have an adverse effect on legitimate practitioners, collectors and manufacturers. Actual sword related crime is very rare and does not warrant a ban that affects the cultural activities of thousands of legitimate martial artists, collectors and smiths. Current legislation is quite adequate to deal with violent crime connected with bladed weapons. New legislation is merely for show. Enforcing such a ban will also affect cultural events such as Scottish Sword Dancing and many Sikh festivals. We urge the PM to reconsider this knee jerk reaction to media influenced scaremongering.

February – The Month That Was

So this is it. Last day of the month, and I have posted to livejournal every day. Ok some days it was just a copout meme post, but a post nether the less. So thats a task completed…

So I’ll just take a look back over the month, see whats happened, whats changed, what hopes and dreams I have, or some such shite :0)

Well we had some lovely snow, which is always fun, makes everywhere look lovely, and better yet, you get to work from home. but on the downside I got Ill, and was expected to work from home while ill, ah well, cant have everything…

What else has happened this month?

Theres been a few good training sessions, some mind melting ones, and some normal ones. I passed ShoKyuLv3. FCMA Fencing Academy has been shut down, put on hold, or whatever you want to call it.

Round up of some of the meme’s. Apparently my life is like an Erotic Thriller which is worrying as I will die aged 36 from sexual exhaustion. Which doesn’t really tie in with me having the dating problems of Insecurity and shyness…

All in all its been a quiet month, which February normally is, due to its inconvenient placing in the year, Just after recovering from the excess of December and Xmas, My family has the damn cheek to have most their birthdays in January, so I tend to take February as a chill out month.
Start Date: 01/01/2007

There Can Be Only One!!

Apart from an endless stream of sequels…

OK.
Highlander 1: Was a film that stood on its own as a decent film, in so much that it had a plot, followed a time line, and made sense.

Highlander 2: Decided to ignore the beginning of the first film, make them all aliens, who know each other on another planet, and just happened to forget they knew each other in the first film.

Highlander 3: Now we realise the second film made no sense, so lets forget it completely and continue from the end of the second film, bring in a bit of magic and continue along the original lines.

Highlander 4: Ok, we have two TV spin offs we have to explain, which is a bit tricky with all the immortals being killed off in the films, so lets follow the famous dynasty story line. “It was all a dream” so we will jump back in time to half way through the first film and make everything from there on a dream. That should do it…

Highlander 5: Right lets make a new film to right the wrong of earlier ones, we’ll throw in all the popular characters from the TV series (apart from the Raven). Set it at some near future date, Have a powerful but insane bad guy, let the sword be broken (again making the so called scotsman go from using a japanese style sword to some chinese swords), and even throw in some queen tracks from the original….

Highlander 6: In Production

Highlander 7: In Production

Free Beer!!!

A few off us popped to the pub after work for a quick drink before heading home. One of our directors came with us and got a round in with the loose change he could find…

Then after left, it was decided to have another round, which involved everyone hunting for cash when the cook who we had got to open the pub up for us decided he didn’t like his bosses that much and gave us a free round ;0)

Which increased when one of the blokes there wife and kids turned up…

Then a round of crisps…

You have to love freebies…..

MA Dvd’s

Well I finally got around to finding all the dvd’s and cd’s I have scattered about the place, and put them all in the same place, nicely stored in a metal dvd box…

Now they all in one place I realise I have no where near as many as I thought I had. Either that or I have not yet found them all…

Ah well back to work…

OOPs.. almost forgot

14 minutes left of the day and I just remembered I had not posted, which would have broken the challange to post every day for a month :0)

Ah well.. Least I remembered in time…
