Blog V3

Well that was the shortest lived Blog ever in the history of the blogosphere!

Allow me to explain. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin!

The blog V2 was up and running, GothNinja had imported his old Livejournal entries, and everything was all speed ahead, And *Crash!* did nobody spot the iceberg?

Basically my “new and improved” hosting providers had technical glitches, and three times in as many days all work was lost as they went to backups. And all new posts were lost, This was on top of random outtages in accesing the server.

So after some research a New New and Improved server was procured and the blog was given a new lease of life. Hopefully this time we will be staying put.

You know you’re a Geek When…

You are sat in the middle of a powercut in a dark candle lit room, watching dvd’s on a laptop, just because you can!

Well it may be nice weather for ducks. but not for humans…

After struggling home through rivers that used to be roads, passed cars abandoned at the side of the road, fallen trees, closed roads, I arrived home to find No electric, and since it had died at about 3pm, all the battery backup lights had run out, so I had an evening of no heat, light, anything.

And this morning I woke up to more the same. Its bad when you turn up to work several hours early to get heat & coffee (mainly coffee)

Demos & Dogs

Well Saturday went differently from planned.

I was supposed to be taking part of a Martial Arts demo at a school fete on Saturday afternoon, but alas it was called off at short notice, so I found myself at a loose end…

But luckily as phoned to let me know the good/bad news he mentioned that he was off with to take Jeff for a walk over the hills, and invited me along..

So a good afternoon was had, Its been years since i went for a walk through the countryside, I’d forgotten how much I used to enjoy it, ok, my legs moaned at me the following day for using them more than I normally do, but it was worth it. Nice walk, nice countryside, nice weather, Nice pint or two later.. And most importantly Jeff…
