The Year of a Busy Mason – 75th Anniversary

75th Anniversary!

This evening was the 75th Anniversary of Wrexhamian Lodge, which was held at the Maesgwyn Hall, Wrexham. We had an Assistant Provincial Grand Master and the team down for the occasion. I was also lucky enough to be part of the visiting team (Even though I am also a member of the Lodge, notice a trend?).

The evening went well, we had a brief history of the Lodge, followed by a donation to the #2028Festival of £2028. Ending with a fantastic festive board, with a celebratory Wrexhamian pin badge for all. By a very weird coincidence, the 75th anniversary of Wrexhamian Lodge was 1 week after the 50th anniversary of Wrexhamian Chapter, and by a very off fluke the same person was in the chair of both during their anniversaries. I do not know what the odds of that are, but I assume they are very low.

This was another occasion of being double booked, since this evening was the rehearsals of Wynnstay Chapter.

The Year of a Busy Mason – MLIM

MLIM – First Craft Meeting!

This evening was my first Craft meeting of the year, which was the Installation meeting of the Maesgwyn Lodge of Installed Masters.

I have mentioned previously that the Installation meeting is a very important meeting where we place a new person into the chair of the Lodge/Chapter/College/Etc with as much pomp and ceremony as we can manage. Well this evening was MLIMs Installation meeting, and I get to say that the evening went very well, with the new Worshipful Master having a fantastic ceremony that he will remember for a very long time. I get to officially say that because I became the Secretary of the MLIM last year, and I am in charge of writing the minutes of the evening so can say whatever I want. I also got to do a small bit of ritual in the ceremony by presenting the Working Tools of a Master Mason to our new Worshipful Master.

The Year of a Busy Mason – 50th Anniversary

50th Anniversary!

This evening was the 50th Anniversary of Wrexhamian Chapter, which was held at a special meeting at the Maesgwyn Hall, Wrexham. We had the Deputy Grand Superintendent, the 2nd and 3rd Provincial Grand Principles, and the team down for the occasion. I was also lucky enough to be part of the visiting team (Even though I am also a member of the Chapter).

The evening went well, we had a new candidate join, and then a brief history of the Chapter was given, followed by a donation to the #2028Festival of £2028. Ending with a fantastic festive board, with free port and celebratory whisky glasses for all.

The Year of a Busy Mason – More Rehearsals

Rehearsals!

It may feel like a Wednesday but in fact it’s a Friday!

Normally Wrexhamian Lodge has its rehearsals the Friday before its meeting, but this month we have let Wrexhamian Chapter have our Friday for their additional anniversary meeting. This means our Friday rehearsals are tonight on Wednesday which is confusing us all.

Some may say it does not take much to confuse me.
