In the velvet darkness, of the blackest sky
All morning the skies above the Insane Asylum have been dark & brooding as we are sat under a Thunder Storm. Now this is not necessary a bad thing, OK. So my dogs are outside getting drenched, OK I will spend longer driving home at the end of the day, OK parents with their kids off school will be cursing the weather, and other Bad things I can understand.
But there is a light in the darkness of everybody’s life..
What is that positive light I hear you ask. Yes I heard you, thanks to a flashplayer plugin on this site it recorded your statement, and emailed it to me over to my iPhone. No! I will not go do that to myself. Behave!!!
Well to answer your none-rude question, The positive light is ;- I work for an ISP, which means computer, technology, things that need power to work, and since the storm keeps taking out either our electricity or our Internet connection, it means I get to spend the day sitting back, playing on the Internet via my iPhone. ;o)

Well I have electricity again thanks to the nice people at the local hospital, who have loaned out one of their backup generators :0)

You are sat in the middle of a powercut in a dark candle lit room, watching dvd’s on a laptop, just because you can!
Well it may be nice weather for ducks. but not for humans…
After struggling home through rivers that used to be roads, passed cars abandoned at the side of the road, fallen trees, closed roads, I arrived home to find No electric, and since it had died at about 3pm, all the battery backup lights had run out, so I had an evening of no heat, light, anything.
And this morning I woke up to more the same. Its bad when you turn up to work several hours early to get heat & coffee (mainly coffee)

Got to love the welsh weather.
Just finished training in chester where its hot and dry, jump into the car to drive home, and as soon as i got to the “welcome to wales” sign.. Torrential Rain!!

I got yesterday off work due to snow, well I got to work from home, so it was good…
{PAIN}
I got ill.. and not get to semi-work from home today due to illness.. :0(
least its pretty out my window with everything under a layer of snow a couple of inches deep, and its still snowing…….
anyway time to check work email for anything important

Well, the skys are clear, the Sun is shining, Yet the company I work for is preparing for most the staff to be snowed in Tomorrow (Apart from the three poor people with the misfortune to live close to the office and are expect to come in anyway!). They are handing out VOIP phones, setting up remote accounts and getting ready for a work from home day…
