Well the advertised FCMA seminar on sparring techniques was changed due to low numbers. “In fairness the days seminar did clash with an England World Cup match” So instead we went through the first level of the intermediate course to warm everyone up, and it’s a good variety of techniques…
Then it went into the grades, just a quick one since there was only 3 people up for grading. Everyone passed (Which is always good!), with me picking up 3rd Kyu in Shinden Kihon Kata.
Which is good as it leaves just one grade left where gets to try and hit me with a sword. :0)
Stolen of boglin because it looked interesting…

By several coincidences, several holiday plans, the football, and stand in teachers, it looked like I would end up being the most seniour student down tonight, which would have ment me remembering the correct japanese phrases to use at the start and end of the evening.
But Thankfully, juniour was down, So it did not fall to me…

So, its been a while since I have updated this thing with anything sensible, or valid, or anything other than meme’s or simple posts. So I figured it was about time to put something in. But just to warn you it will probably be just ramblings or mutterings, as normal :0)
So the weekend….
Saturday – The Redi Daze
Well Saturday turned out to be a lovely hot, sunny day, I believe summer is finally here, for the few short weeks we have in this country before the rains and the snows start again :0)
So after a morning doing gardening for my grandmother, it was decided that it was a good day to go sit out in the sun, with some cold beers and watch the bands at the Redi Daze music festival, well it was sunny, and luckily the festival is free, well the bands were not the best, they were not even the best of the worse, but it was free and you get what you pay for :0)
Sunday – The lazi Daze
Sunday was a nice lazy peaceful day in the sun, Stated off by a wander around Chirk car boot sale, which is a great place to pick up books, and other handy items you wouldn’t want to pay full price for. Then home for a quick cuppa with Planetpete and Helen. Then the rest of the day spent sitting in the sun reading, before ending the day with a good movie. Tis good to have the odd day just relaxing in the sun, to recharge the old batteries.
So it was a good, sunny, relaxing weekend
There is just one problem with living in the welsh hills, Its a bit out the way.
Been invited to a preview showing of a new horror film, but its in London, and at 6 tomorrow. Which considering I don’t finish work till 5, I have no chance of attending.
Ah well, There has to be the odd disadvantage, or everyone would want to live here!
