The down Side to Martial Arts.

Tonight I came across the downside to martial arts.

Picture the scene.. A group of people go to the pictures to see underworld 2.. A good time was had by all.. Then on leaving the cinema the group stand around talking.. Once again all is well.. Then one person moves around, so they were standing next to me, then stepped right in front of one of them closing off the group into a smaller circle leaving one on the outside..

What would you do?

Normally I would just growl to myself, and say something while moving the person away.. But Now, after visiting the occasional martial arts lesson, the voices in my head that normaly growl at such things were telling me what to do to hurt the person, and just what was needed to forcibly remove him from being directly in my face…

Luckily I am not a thug and i took a step back and started counting to ten, several times…

But It made me wonder. if you train often, is there a point when your body’s natural reflexes take over and you react before you remember yourself??

Fencing: The Art of The Sword

Well tonight ended my stint as Stand-In Instructor for the Full Circle Academy Fencing Class. Well that sounds a lot more efficient than it actually was. I basically Let the Other Student practice any of the weapons/skills that they felt they wanted more practice on, and was just there to offer help, advice, and instruction as and when it was needed.

And tonight an extra half hour sat by the heaters chatting..

But on the positive side, I did start work on developing a version of the 5 count box set using two swords. I believe it can easily be done. There’s just a block or two where I’m unsure. Like the block against the stab attack, Is it better to change the block for a opposite to normal block, or to use one sword to block as you would with a single sword, and use the other to slice open the opponant’s arms?

I just need some madman to work it out with. Volunteers please?

[Facts Found in Old Emails]
It turns out the Jelly Babies are good at fishing. Highly trained kamikaze jelly babies attach themselfs to hooks at the end of bungee ropes..

They then jump into the water, then swim down the mouth of a big fish. They grip hold of the fish’s tonsils real tight and wait for the bungee rope to pull them and the fish out the water.. is cool way to fish..

News Just In

During some Random Internet Researching, the following information was discovered, and is currently being investigated.

We have all heard of the freemasons. And Heard hundreds of theory’s on what they are, what they want, why they were created. Well there is now evidence on the true origins of Freemasonry, origins that go back to the early years BC. One of the members has broken ranks and leaked information to the world before mysteriously disappearing.

The new information given is that the clue is in the name. Freemason. The name has been mutated over the centuries into the name we know today. It was original three words that have been joined together. its progression is something along the lines off Freemason <- Freemyson <- Free myson <- Free my Son!

yes. Its original name is “Free My Son” the name of the organization was taken from God’s cry of free my son.

As we know from the bible, God’s son jesus was killed, then came back alive, what we do not know because the freemasons removed an important Gospel from the bible is that after his Resurrection he was then kidnapped by the minions of satan, and is still held as a hostage preventing God from doing good and healing the worlds ill’s.

Since God was prevented from direct action, he spoke to some of the holiest men of the time, and got them to form a secret society to fight satan, and find where jesus is being held, and to free him.

The full details of these revelations will be made in the forth coming book. “free My Son: the truth behind the lie behind freemasonry”

Plans for the New Year

Jan04

Well its several days into 2006, and I have decided to work out my plans and goals for the forthcoming year.
Kinda like “new years resolutions

So this is what I will try to do/achieve in 2006

  1. Loose Weight
  2. Learn one New Skill
  3. Finish Some Old Projects
  4. Read More
  5. Actually do Backups
  6. Stop being so Lazy

Loose Weight
Well I could do with loosing some, so the plan is to start simple, and drop a jeans size for starters.

Learn one New Skill
This year I intend to try and stop the dry rot thats been eating up my brain with lack of use, So I plan to learn one new skill. First step is deciding what I should learn. Suggestion’s Anyone?

Finish Some old Projects
I have been very lazy over recent years, and have accumulated a large amount of “Unfinished Projects” so I want to try and actually get a load finished this year. I am aiming to try and finish about 10 off, but will be happy with 5!.

I love reading, but for some reason the last couple of years I have struggled to find the time or enthusiasm to actually get into a book. But then I had no ethusism for most things last year. Which made my natural laziness worse.

Actually do Backups
:0) Due to vast amounts of lost data from a crashed PC which had a cd on top of it waiting for a backup to be done. I have decided to actually do periodic backups of my data. I know I have said this before, but its a resolution this year, so hopefully I will stick to it this year.

Stop being so Lazy
Speaks For Itself really!!
